Dr. Julia Tomlinson

Julia Tomlinson, BVSc, MS, PhD, DACVS, CCRP, CVSMT, DACVSMR, Owner, Twin Cities Animal Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Burnsville, Minnesota.

As the managing director of Twin Cites Animal Rehabilitation Clinic and a board-certified specialist in rehabilitation and sports medicine, Dr. Julia Tomlinson was the first such canine specialist in the state of Minnesota. She is responsible for founding the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians in 2007 and is a past president of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Tomlinson earned her veterinary degree from the University of Liverpool, England.

She practiced equine sports medicine and surgery prior to working with small animals and brings skills from the world of equine performance. Dr. Tomlinson co-edited the textbook Physical Rehabilitation for Veterinary Technicians and Nurses published by Wiley. She also continues to remain an active member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Tomlinson’s special interests include sports medicine, healthy aging and management of chronic pain.
